For those who use newsgroups, has anyone noticed very low speeds during the day ?
A speedtest shows max speed but newsgroup downloads are low.
Is flow throttling speed ?

I use powerusenet with ssl.

Disable ssl and then check the speed. SSL is inherently slower. Try other ports too. Nearly all news readers will use the default port 119. Power Usenet will also allow connections on port 23 and port 80 (NNTP only).

No change. I'll try another provider sometime.
