It seems my pings have gotten worse over the past few months...
At present here is a tracert at 8 or so at night, this seems to be the same everyday. I don't have any p2p/spyware or firewall.... SNR 30 Atten:41
What are ur pings like? Note how poor the pings are to tstt's own servers shouldn't they be under 50 MS ?...

Tracert will give you more detailed information than ping. The trick is to be able to read and interpret properly. Notice where the high latency starts, between your router and the tstt gateway. You need to verify that nothing is using your internet connection while you are tracerouting or you will get inconsistent readings.

Funny enough, I can't run a proper traceroute to www.tstt.net.tt because TSTT's dns issues breaks the mapping, however pings are fine

It's taking you 117~145ms just to reach TSTT's exchange. Either you have a poor router or there's a problem with your connection to TSTT. I'm curious though as to why you have two hops within your internal network.

That would be my Netgear router.
I know it is not the problem since doing a test right now with the machine plugged in directly to the modem shows this...

Also it seems that my pings to tstt go down to <30ms on mornings even with my router plugged in. Guess tstt's exchange is overloaded or something.

Not sure. I only really know about the PoS and Four Roads exchanges. If anyone else is in the St. Anns area, it would be nice of them to post their traceroute mapping to compare.
