EDIT: Initial Results - Flow is the clear latency winner

Flow really pulls ahead at peak periods. This could change if Flow gets a larger market share and doesn't keep up with their infrastructure.

Above are the simple average pings done at approximately the same time from the same residence to the same IP (not using domain names, as they sometimes resolve to different IPs.)

I have the fastest residential package for each service. Download speeds are about the same, but Flow's upload is faster - at least when I checked (1.3 MBit vs. 400 Kbit; Blink's upload speed varies a lot, though.)

Update: I am getting 15 Mbit down / 2 Mbit up fairly consistently now after reconfiguring and restarting my router.

Original Post:

Does anyone have any data for latency between the two services?

For a realisitic comparison the information would have to come from the same general geographic location, to the same IP address (preferably in the US), and around the same time.

Thank you to anyone who has actually done this; if no one posts I may end up getting a Flow account and test myself.

Well I've got the cable modem hooked up, but the thing just isn't connecting to their servers for data.

So far not so pleased with Flow cable; we'll see if their tech people respond in a timely manner.

Well I emailed them, they called me, and fixed the issue within a few minutes.

I'll test this weekend during peak periods to see how latency figures compare. Feel free to send me some IP addresses if you want something tested, and I'll see what I can do.

For those who are curious:

The cable modem is just that, a modem. It doesn't appear to have any sort of routing capability.

I'm able to plug in my router using a WAN DHCP setting and it works fine.
