Hmm, I got one in the states for just over $100tt. I haven't seen any in Trinidad, but I've heard they sell for at least $200. You can get them online like on amazon.com for about $13us:

The cable you are looking for is the DCU-11 cable. I recently bought one on eBay, simply because it was a lot cheaper than buying it locally.

If you really want it, I can sell you mine, as yet unopened, and purchase a replacement for myself. The kit incldes an instruction booklet and a driver CD. It is manufactured by Susteen, who specialise in making communication cables for cellular devices.

In addition to the cable, you are also going to need software to fully communicate with the phone. The software you will need can be found on Sony Ericsson's website, and it's called the Sony Ericsson PC Suite 1.7.10, and can be downloaded at http://www.sonyerics...uite_1.7.10.exe
(Please note that this is a big download (49MB) so it may be best not to do this via dial-up unless you have oodles of free time and access, or a download manager.)

If you have any questions, please contact me via this forum. Any further more personal contact will be initiated accordingly.

Finally, I got The DUC-11 Data Cable. Thanks to "Scotty Ranking".

And it works perfect.

I even got Music Videos on my J300i and they show clearly.
Haven't figured out how to use my phone as a modem as yet!

Laterz!

thanks again Scotty

No problem. Like I told you, I am partial to Ericsson users, having been one for more than eight years now ...

As for using your phone as a modem, first you must have GPRS enabled on your account. Once this is done, that's all you have to do with the phone, handset-wise. YOu'll need to check the Sony Ericsson website again for downloads for your model (J300, I will assume), and get he modem script for your phone. Failing this, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you.

Laters!
