Test your TSTT firewall ...
The Speedstream 5200 ADSL router has a diagnostic section. Simply run the diagnostics and see if any of the tests fail. Once the firewall is disabled, all tests should run just fine. Otherwise you would see errors in the 'Internet Connectivity' section.

If you cannot establish any telnet or ssh session to an host on the Internet, is usually a clear sign that the TSTT firewall is up.
