Paradyne:
Mode: ADSL2+
Line Coding: Trellis On
Status: No Defect
Link Power State: L0
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (dB): 4.3 10.5
Attenuation (dB): 43.5 23.3
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 797
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 13024

That's strange, my stats are still the same. Also just rebooted the modem too. Paradyne 6211. What could be causing that...

well from what i'm seeing they seem to still be rolling it out, seems they are doing it on a per-account basis. Got a friend in upper belmont with the same stats as u, we're all on the same exchange just that the exchange hasn't fully gone blink yet.... thus no increased speeds for me
I WANT MY 2 MBIT!!!!

UPDATE: A friend of mine talked to a Blink CSR concerning the Belmont area, as of yet they cannot find belmont in their systems. What was explained to me is that the system is still not ready to make the switch over to blink (something about hardware here lol). So yet again another delay for the belmont area

TSTT started some upgrade Saturday in the Belmont exchange, about 11 days ago, but they encountered some problems and
had to stop. I guess it is just a matter of time that they will start another attempt.
After the first attempt, four of my customers in the area (St. Ann's) had no ADSL for a few days.

'Problems' huh, yet again another reason why Belmont is left in the dust....

Ok get this.
They have me here on ADSL here still, but I am getting it at an inconsistent 512Kbps speed. The TSTT bill (eService online) say I on Blink Broadband@Home 512K . Strange eh, why they ain't put me on the nice ADSL2+ like the other Blink ppl!
The speedtest.net app saying I have download speeds at 1530kbps. I did it multiple times and got around the same thing. Sometimes I get downloads from HTTP going at 44KBps+ and if I am lucky and try to download multiple files (using Intenet Explorer) and its from a good HTTP (no RapidShare) I can get 2 files downloading simultaneously at just below 66KKBps. I think that is burst speed though, although it holds for at least 8 seconds and levels out at various speeds a little above 33KBps. I find that to be strange. Anyhow right now I am struggling to download some files and only getting it on average around 23KBps!! Been downloading a 700MB file, so that average has been over quite some time. Speeds are generarlly quite insconsitent here and I am getting on average below 33KBps download. Although the initial burst speeds look nice for the short times.
Oh yeah I am getting an average ping of 130+ms from speedtest.

That is indeed strange, about the unstable bandwidth.... but what i find even more strange is that i went by my aunt today who lives next door to me and also has dsl. Just for the heck of it i decided to run speedtest.net because i found that i was getting around 130kb/s from microsoft's site.... found out she's getting 2134Kbps down and 534Kbps up. Just boils me up inside knowing i've been suffering here with 256Kbit a long time now...
Most recent events... i've been sick since the 24th given a whole set of home remedy's to follow etc. think i'll visit the doctor tomorrow if there's 1 open.
I will also call tstt before i get on any new meds tomorrow morning and find out exactly why i am still on 256 >.<
Oh by the way have you tried torrents with your unstable 512Kbit line? Torrents should max out the entire line bandwith and give you a more consistent reading

Nope, I am not getting good speeds on torrents. I get between 20KBps and just over 30KBps per torrent. And I still getting that speed maximum for a single torrent. Even if I put more than one torrent to download the overall speed isn't consistent and hardly reaches anywhere near my supposed 1Mbps. Too bad... I was looking forward to downloading a 700MB in 1.75 hours
Is your DSL now ADSL2+? Or hasn't changed from G.DMT?
