You're so lucky though, I tried all those changes and still my upload is next to nil. I spoke to a tech and he told me it may be something with a port setting at the TSTT exchange, so I'm waiting to see if they ever rectify it.

lucky u say? ... i've been tryin to get my 2Mbit since they changed me over to dsl2+ since last yr dec. 5th. If they had never change me over i would've been on 256kdown and 256k up, i would've been able to atleast host dota better ... :s

Lol, I tried playing dota online once, got my balls busted. I seem to play better at lan parties. Haven't done it in a while though, haven't got the time anymore. But you're right, I'm pretty sure you can't host any game with such low upload speed, 'cept maybe internet hearts, lol.
On the up side, it restricts my torrent upload speed to about 17 k while download is about 200 k, something I failed to do manually......

yea lich i wont mind a 2v2 someday

Omni i always try to limit my upload when downloading torrents, that way i can also play dota or other games online without much lag (upload speeds increases latency just like download speeds), i've had to limit my torrents in more ways than one.... just to maintain my playability and sometimes it's not possible at times as tstt's bandwith tends to fluctuate...

Well with my present max upload speed of less than 20 k, I doubt I could even try to play those.

Well I does stop all downloads while playing because I does have skype running while I play so I can talk to my ally. It kicks ass cuz it saves time.

I just realise dat the modem settings advisory on Blink's site, for paradyne at least, out of date since it won't help with pppoE settings. It not much different anyways but before I joined this forum, I was clueless on how to even log in in to the modem and that was the first place I checked to get info.
