Yeah folks I have this Blink modem it has one RJ45 and one USB. I have a serious problem with the USB as it causes the PC to freeze up when its left running torrents overnight and it also causes the PC to slow down. Doing some research I am told USB is bad for networking and uses an extra step to convert the networking protocols and hence uses your system resources. Well atleast it happened in my old PC but don't really fancy USB to be honest I hear USB has a higher latency than NIC to.

There fore whats the best way to connect 2 PC's to one RJ45 Jack?

lets not discuss hubs ...
get a cheap switch, there's a cnet 10/100 Mbit one selling for something like 150$

USB doesn't really increase latency, unless you can get affected by 1-2 ms latency, ofcourse on older systems the latency would be a little more for any type of networking overhead. Shouldn't be a problem on modern pcs tho.

There is no real way of just making two cables and tying them together, it would cause a conflict and wouldn't work. Best solution would be daisy chaining or using a smart device like a switch or router.

I tell d man to buy meh router yuh know but he harden. LoL. Check for a switch somewhere but don't buy anything from NEXXT, them using RealTek switch IC which is the bottom of the universe ass-backwards lamest all time switch chips. Some Belkin routers use Realtek too so check the hardware before you buy. Advantec is a decent brand I see locally, it ain't bad, I think they use IC Plus for their switches but Ralink and Realtek for their routers so those are not too good purely because of the RealTek switches.

i never had a problem with my NEXXT switch. 3 years strong...i get meh $120 worth

if d man really cheep he cud always find a hub in d la basse

if d man scruntin, theoretically u shud b able to crimp an extra rj45 jack onto a ethernet cable (to make it 3 jacks on one cable, following the original ethernet std). ive never done it myself. no guarantees
