Hi,
I’m trying use an EDGE PC Card on a Dell 1536 laptop
However the laptop have an express card slot, so I bought a express card to pc card adapter but when I plugged it into the laptop it is not detecting the pc card? What I also notice is my CPU usage gone up to 51% and the system got very slow

CPU up to 51%, it could be 1 core of the CPU is maxed out so something is wrong with the express card adapter or the drivers it came with if any. I don't have much experience with this but if it needs drivers you should probably visit the manufacturer website and look for the latest drivers. Or try looking for reviews on a better adapter because express cards uses a lower voltage than pc card so you should get a good performing one. Read customer reviews before making a purchase.
