I believe that a 512k satellite internet from Skynet is like only $400 TT permonth.
Or even less I believe it could be $200 TT. Last time i checked it was rather cheap.
But the licnese you say is so expensive
Give us some more info on that VSAT I think you might be mistaken there is no way it can be that expensive.

You really did your research, my gosh that's expensive. I"m thinking you could probably get a direct fiberline from TSTT with all that money and rental. Then again it's TSTT. Have you tried the other wireless providers? I'm sure one of them will help out out considering the amount your willing to put out. Please note that next year taxes and import duties on equipment related to wireless internet will be removed. This is part of government's plan for TnT to have wireless broadband at a cheaper price, so there's hope in the not too distant future.

but anyway here is what I found out about your 20:1 ratio satellite internet
Monthly bit rate rental is specified, for example, as 512k down / 64k up shared 20:1. This means that when you are downloading a file the speed may be up to 512k bit/s. With 30:1 sharing you will find that for much of the time the available bit rate is lower - as other people will be using the capacity at the same time. In shared arrangements there are often monthly download and upload limits (measured in G bytes per month) per customer, so that one user cannot block everyone else. Such "fair-use" policies can be complex and, for example, may allow 250 Mbytes to be downloaded with such activity then followed by 24 hours of restricted low speed 50kbit/s service. Such policies vary greatly from one service provider to another
But a good question mario how much is 512k broad band satellite internet in trinidad?
And how much does the equipment cost?

by the way Mario have you considered green dot?
They have a package for $420 for antenna internet 256k
Their equipment costs around $1200 TT for the antenna dish and modem
But I hear Green dot sucks is this true?
Has anyone here ever used green dot and do they really suck badly?
Or a little bit.
