TSTT is running GPRS for a selected group of customers. I saw a nice demonstration at a ITPS poster session in December last year.
Apparently GPRS will be available in April ...

So when this service becomes available, would there be a charge, and what would have to be done to the settings of the phone to allow the GPRS to actually work?

Good question! I would like to know as well!! Maybe even they do not know that yet.
Many GPRS providers are facing the same problem ... on one hand they like to provide the service on the other hand it is not easy to put a fee structure in place. Some charge by the amount of traffic, others, I heard, might charge you for a picture displayed on your cell and so on. We will see what the only provider is trying to do with us. Anyhow, we can't do anything ... except not using their services. ... quite difficult in a monopoly situation

STUPID TSTT AGAIN...(or it could be me,but knowing TSTT's history, what else am i supposed to think)
Had nothing better to do now so i went to TSTT's site, went to the mobile section, and to my suprise, saw something about GPRS.... but when i clicked,it opened with acrobat, but it didnt really open...it was just gray for 11 pages...so can you check it out for me admin...cuz i dont have highspeed..so maybe it was just taking a long time..even though i left it for about 10 mins...everything opens except for "GPRS Device Setup Procedures (Various Phone Makes and Models)" which i beleive to be the most important document....

Well, the TSTT document is only 768KB (http://www.tstt.net.tt/mobile/education/gprs_procedures.pdf). It describes the GPRS setup for a variety of cell phones.
But first of all ... GPRS has to be enabled in your SIM card!
