  1. In Topic: My phone not working after rain

    During the rain I used to stop getting a dial tone.
    The first two times I called the service number (from a cellular phone) and waited at least 2 weeks before a technician was sent to fix it.
    Within a year it happened again.
    I went up on my roof and found that the phone line was joined and left in the guttering.
    Each time it rained and the gutter filled with water the joined section of cable was under water.
    I wrapped up the joined section in a small amount of roofing flash band and viola...I have never had this problem since.

    Problem fixed.
