  1. Post Paid Warranty Problems

    Posted 15 Aug 2004

Hey guys, I am sure that I am not the only one with this problem. I purchased my Nokia 7210 in August of 2003. Earlier this year I took my handset into TSTT trying to get a replacement handset after experiencing repeated problems. The usual problems such as:

    1. Loss of conversation during calls.
    2. Loss of phone power.
    3. No/Low signal in good receiving areas.
    4. Error: Phone Restricted
    5. Error: Insert SIM Card

Anyhow, the response was that at time there were no units in stock for an exchange. Four months have now passed and I have sent this handset into TSTT again. This time I got a slightly different response but the same result <_< . This time I was given the option to possibly have the phone repaired or upgraded to a Nokia 7250i, which would cost me $1,200.00 to upgrade.

Now of course this is not stated anywhere in the contract that I signed. So just for the record and to ease my mind I reverted back to the agreement that I signed. This agreement clearly stated my units warranty period in: Section 8: Penalty, Warranty & Payment Information, underlining the TSTT Equipment Warranty period, as 12 months.

Now has anyone been in this situation or something similar? If so holla back before I start to get legally nasty.
