well a modem reboot seems to generally fix the slow down problems every blue moon that they occur. as of the past day or so, have been getting some random disconnects. happened at least 5 times in the past 24 hrs. not sure if it's limited to santa cruz though. think my friend in barataria disconnected same time i did. -

i've noticed that my 2mb connection speed has been considerably slower over the past couple days. down to about ~600kb speeds. anyone else experiencing this slow down on blink? -

Just an update. Borrowed the paradyne modem from my friend and lent him my d-link since it works by him. the paradyne is still picking up the G.DMT network rather than the adsl2+ that it's suppose to. Strange thing is, my friend's username/password picks up @1mb however our username/password is still on the normal 256k connection. the connection is still laggy and unuseable for gaming or voip (still doesn't actually drop however). -

Strangely enough, last time i spoke to a local csr, and i questioned him about the rate which we were being charged especially since they mailed us around xmas stating our bill would be half price until blink reached in the area. he claimed that was an 'only for xmas' deal. go figure..
