  1. Line down since 15.09.2008

    Line went down on the 15th Sept (no dial tone,no ADSL).. when I called, they claimed that they were having problems at the exchange and it would be sorted out "soon". I called a week later and the CSR said that in the logs,the problem was repaired on the same day :blink:

    I made another report.. called back a week later to be told that I have a "wireless telephone which needs to be upgraded to copper". I corrected them,only to call back three more times in the following week and be told the same. I was given the number for an exchange where I could call and tell them the nature of the problem..but nobody answered the phone ALL DAY!! Called back and spoke to a 'supervisor' for CSR,only to be spoken to in a dismissive manner and to be told "I dunno when they going to fix it". On my last three calls (the most recent of which was 5 mins ago), I was told that "no technician was assigned" to the job. Basically I'm at the point of wanting to cancel my landline and BLINK subscription and go wireless or something :angry: :angry: :angry:

    TSTT should use its resources to deal with their CSR and repair departments instead of wasting money on frivolous advertising and sponsorship. Will keep updating as developments happen
  2. ADSL down

    So...without warning..my dsl went down. No signal light,phone works fine etc. Said ok,i'll leave it til the next day. Guess what? Nothing! :o

    I then called tech support and the woman then proceeded to interrogate me about my modem settings, telling me that if i changed anything,that would cause me to not get a signal. I told her that nothing was changed,went through the usual 'troubleshooting' BS, removing filters etc. Nada.

    I left 'em in peace and called them back on Wednesday night. They asked me for my username and then told me that it was in use (me using it on another line) and that's the reason that I wasnt getting a connection. The tech then proceeded to tell me that you can't use password on both ADSL and dialup simultaneously and that I should disconnect, to which i frankly replied 'that makes no sense..what does the password have to do with me not getting any status light?'

    His reply: "Hmm..true..I'll make a ticket to the guys at the exchange"

    I called back again on Thursday evening, this time they put me on to one of those people in India (who I had to repeat/ ask to be repeated at least three times). One setta BS talk,and finally the same line "I'll make a ticket for the level 2 technicians at the exchange"

    Called Friday night again, frustration kicking in (if i wanted dialup, i wouldn't have gone through the hassle of signing up for dsl ;) ). SAME THING as thursday evening

    Sunday afternoon and still nothing..I'll have patience and wait til tomorrow before I call them back. Never had any problems with the line, except this same thing happened about 2 months ago for almost a day, to which TSTT replied that they were 'doing some maintenance at the exchange'. If FLOW was in my area (chaguanas), i'd have been on the bandwagon a very long time ago :angry:
