Thanks for the advice Alpine...tried all that. At this point I am pretty sure it is a line problem...the way it was up and down first for few days and then went dead. The internet is my main form of entertainment, but more importantly I use it for work. Saves me having to go to the office everyday. It has been damn inconvenient. Now that I have calm down a bit...I think I am going to get both. 6Mbit Flow and the cheapest package TSTT has to offer as backup.

You know I have had worst than TSTT...Greendot...now that was a "fantastic" service.

Yeah I did...after the first few times...I just went ok...all done...it rebooted...blah,blah. It still amazes doh after you tell them two TSTT CSR came to the house and checked everything...they insisting on going through useless procedures that was all tried by me and the CSRs when they were here. Only reason I kept TSTT this long...because before this, it was fairly reliable in my area. There was downtime in past...but that was general outtage...not me specifically. However if this is response when there is a problem...FLOW is available in my area and way cheaper (especially considering I intend to get rid of my home phone which I never use). Right now I "borrowing" internet from someone with an open wireless connection (God bless his him). He seems to have 6Mbit Flow connection...it has been up since I started "borrowing" and very very fast. Also all VPN connection work just fine.

I really hope FLOW is better...although this being Trinidad...I am not holding breath...but have to do something seeing TSTT jus giving me the run around.

Well, Friday 16th May, connection speed started varying. ging from normal 2MBit to below dial-up and most of the times the modem would not see the TSTT external gateway. Gave it until Monday 19th May before I called technical support. They had me do the usual crap...redo connection properties...reboot modem...reset modem...one guy actually told me I have to maunally set the gateway to 192.168.1.1 on my computer...no matter how much I told I have DHCP enabled and the modem is not seeing the external TSTT gateway. Frustrating...but it get worst...Wed 21st May...no connection at all. Status light on modem off...no Upstream or Downstrem on summary page in modem. Call helpdesk...very frustrating...techs don't seem to realize I have no ADSL signal on the line...just telling to reset, reboot, redo modem. Finally Friday 23rd May...got a Trinidad tech...thankfully she immediately realize I have line probelm and dispatched a CSR to my house. Sat 24th May...CSR shows up check the mdem and the lines at declares everyseems to be fine...the problem must be at the exchange. Which was thinking since it was working fine and just stopped and I hadn't canged anything at all. He said the exchange was close and he will check it on Monday. Monday 26th May...come home in evening...internet still down...call TSTT...they working on it...Tuesday 27th May...internet still down...call TSTT...they working on it. Wednesday 28th May...internet still down...call TSTT...thay working on it.Thursday 29th May...intrenet still down...completely piss off...call TSTT (I deserve some award for the calm I exhited in these conversation). Guy at TSTT tells me they working on it...I ask for an update...have at found the problem. He tells me I don't know...the file hasn't been updated all week. I ask...well how do you someone actually checked. He says...they working on it and I have just have to wait for whenever it finish. I ask to speak to the supervisor...same shit. I kept calling and probably spoke to 2/3 of the department. Finally the supervisors says he will send another tech to my house. I say a tect already...everything is fine here...he needs to go to exchange. He insist. Friday 30th May...tech comes to my house and declares everything is fine here...the problem must at the Exchange. He will put in a report and I should call TSTT on Monday. Monday, I think I will be calling FLOW!!!

Just called Tech support again...told them two gus from TSTT cames to house and states I have problem originating ant the exchange. I then ask how do proceed from here...some was suppose to looking into this problem all week but I cannot get any update. No one can even verify someone actually was there. The tech listen to all this and then ask if I could open the internet explorer so we check the modem settings. This idiocracy...don't TSTT open some sort of ticket when someone has a complaint...it should recordmy information...all the trouble shooting done...the reports from the CSRs who cam to my house. I told this guy I have been through this dozens of time over the last two weeks...but the ### still insist on sitting there and reading from his cheat sheets!!!!

    Editting again...didn't realize I - D - I - O - T was a banned word.

Well my Blink has crapped out in St. Augustine...yet again. It was fine until Friday...then really slow speeds...followed by no internet at all. Line speed is all over the place and half the time doesn't see the default gateway. I have been through my modem and everything is just fine...and every time you call technical support you get the same idiotic responses. This sucks!
