Well, just an update, folks. I haven't had any response from TSTT yet regarding the dialup bill. But I was connected to Blink on Friday, 14 weeks after my application date, though no one called to tell me. Although I had specified "pick up" in the application, there was consistent surprise when I tried to pick up my modem. It's such a relief to have graduated from dialup that I haven't paid attention to the conversion glitches: signal dropped, need to reconfigure for ftp download, 75% of speed promised...
