  1. Blink Entertainment Upgrade

    Posted 25 Nov 2015

Two weeks ago I requested to upgrade my Blink entertainment package from 140+ plus 2 package to the 5MB package

I currently have 2MB with 3 SD boxes.

I want to upgrade to 5MB internet with the 3 SD boxes

    Attainable rate is 21MB

    Path 0 Path 1
    Downstream Upstream Downstream Upstream

    Rate (Kbps): 19582 1094 7744 896

The TSTT rep told me they need to increase the bandwidth.

A TSTT tech told me they need to reconfigure the line.

If it needs to reconfigure why is it taking so long to do? Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Thanks

This is the modem that TSTT gives you.

I have a question concerning the output power.

    1) With firmware 3.00.44 and 3.00.34 , the output power for the downstream remains at 12.8 and the upstream fluctuates.

    2) With firmware 3.00.31 and 3.00.27, the output power for the upstream remains at 12.8 and the downstream fluctuates.

What should be the right one? Should the output power for the upstream be steady or the downstream.

I must say the modem seems to be hotter with scenario 1).

    Any help will be appreciated.
  3. Blink Updates

    Post your Blink updates here.

This will help others waiting on Blink to know how soon or how far away they are from getting it in their area.
