    PPP session goes down every 20-40mins.. Then comes back up a min or 2 later..
    Modem diagnostic show that everything else is fine including the ATM connection only the PPP section fails.
    I don't believe the problem is on the network edge because when PPP connection goes down the ATM connection is still fine.

    I have a linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT firmware and it works pretty well. The QOS provided by the firmware is excellent. However since I've upgraded from 256kbps to 10mbps there isn't much need for strict QOS rules anymore. The firmware also allows you to increase the transmit power of the radio but this feature should be used with caution to prevent damage to the unit.
