  1. In Topic: Blink in Princes Town. yes/no?

    Posted 18 Dec 2009

LOL. This is so funny i do not know how/where/IF to start.
I didnt post here in a while so please bear with me all who complaining about CHOOSING between FLINK and BLOW.

BUT i will start by saying TSTT = FLOW = BULL S--T!

So now let me recap so you dont have to go thru the other posts:

*correction* I mentioned in a previous post that i did not sign up for blink before 20th december 2008. HOWEVER someone from my house actually DID sign up in october2007 but T.S.HI.T.T lost the application. -->

    1) i applied for the old dsl service since about 2004. Nothing ever came from that. Then My phone stopped working in 2006, fixed halfway in 2007 but was finally fixed properly in 2008 when some new equipment was installed.

    2) someone by me signed up for blink in october 2007 and the area was also scheduled to be upgraded between oct2007-jan2008 but since i live so close to the exchange i was being optimistic thinking i would get it earliest.

    3) I called T.S.HI.T.T on MANY occasions throughout 2008 only to hear that "they sorry my area is not upgraded" and that I should send in an application because that would be better, NOT KNOWING that an application was already made but apparently they lost it.

    4) So I MYSELF made an application on december20th 2008 (MORE THAN ONE F#C#### YEAR LATER) and spoke to a MS.RENEE who confirmed that the application was received. ( I print many copies too just in case)

    5) January 31/february 1st 2009 two fiber optic cables were run which i heard later from a worker that those were the lines to provide all 3(tv/internet/phone) services.

    6) Called T.S.HI.TT January - february2009 only to get the same old excuses.

    7) FLOW said princes town would be digital-ready march2009. And once again i was optimistic because i living on a main road that is a fairly residential area and close to high street.

    8) I became even more optimistic when sure enough Flow contractors showed up one morning first week in march at 6.45a.m and started to run cable.

    9) I stopped calling TSHYTT in march and started digging in Flow tail, and when they said they sorry but they working on it, i believed them, especially when i spoke to the people running the lines who said that i would be digital-ready "soon"

    10) Sometime in the end of april/beginning of may2009 the workers showed up again doing something i can only describe as "sealing" or "fastening" the fibre optic cable so it cannot move(or to show that their work was complete and nothing else was to be done here).

    11) When i went up the road a few days later i noticed an additional cable run,(the one to which the cable from your house connects to) but it had stopped about 10-15 houses away from mine. "WTMC IS THIS?" I thought to myself. But since it was so close, i thought it would only be a matter of days before they would extend the line and i could Watch,Talk & Click.

    12) Although i knew the line did not reach my house i still called & emailed flow for additional info, and the person (i forget she name) said that yes i could get digital and i could sign up on the phone, but the email said no, only analog. So i went into the office and was told analog only, but i said what the hell, i already here i should sign up for the analog cable since first thing they usually ask on the phone is "are u a flow customer/account number" so i thought i would get better treatment if/when i called in the future. (right...........)

    13) A few days before the appointed date, technicians said they were in the area and could come and install if i wanted so i agreed. They came and did a neat installation in a short period of time but said they were told it was a digital installation. No problem, they went and exchanged the digital cable box same day.

    Evrything sounding nice right?

    14) ^^^That was July2009 btw. Nothing heard OR DONE for the rest of July/August/September2009. Then a frend of mine who knows more s##t than i do contacted flow and got a # for me to call and i spoke to a MS.L***** who took some info and said she would call me back just now.about 2 WEEKS later she called me and said yes the address is digital ready and scheduled a date in the end of september2009 for the upgrade while i rearrange MY schedule to fit this in.

    15) Technician calls for directions on given date. ASKS IF THE LINE WITH THE DIGITAL TAP IS THERE. I said no. he said he suspected so but he would still come later to make sure as it was part of the work order.

    16) NOTHING HEARD, SEEN OR DONE in october so i message their forum in the 3rd week of October. CSR contacts me, takes some info and says he will call me back. about 1 week later a woman by the name of NATASHA calls me and says the upgrade is complete and they want to come switch me over.
    I say "Are you SURE?"
She says "Yes i am sure"
I continue "because this is the third time i am being told i am digital-ready and when the technicians come they say i am not"
She says "Dont worry, the technicians know what to do."
    Me again: "Are You SURE?"
She: "Yes, this is an updated list of info i am looking at."

    17) Assigned date reaches, technician calls and asks info. NO LINE WITH DIGITAL TAP, NO UPGRADE. Simple.

    18) However i include that the line ends about 10-15 houses away and he says they would need RG11 cable since normal cable wouldnt work for that distance and he would put an order for it asap. I also call flow to confirm the order was made and CSR says yes,an order was put in.

    19) NOTHING HEARD SEEN OR DONE FOR THE REST OF NOVEMBER. By now i done lost hope and thinking how hard it would be to call back 62-BLINK. So I called TSTT and CSR said he cannot find an application for my phone#. i say "ok thank you" and hangup one time before i give him my real opinion.

    20) 2 days later i called back TSTT and i spoke to CSR WENDY (who sounds like CSR by day, villa c##ri by night....i just saying that is how she accent sound eh). She also sounds as though she is following instructions from a regulation book. Anyhow she found my application and said that it was suspended but the person who did so,did not specify why and now she wants the owner of my landline account (WHO IS NOT HERE) to call in so she can put it back on the list(SINCE WHEN they need to do that?). So i told her "ok thank you" and hangup and went back to waiting on flow.

    21) Now TODAY a FLOW CSR put the final nail in my ####. CSR tell me that I NOT DIGITAL READY
    and that it would take an additional 5-6 MONTHS!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!

JUST TO EXTEND THE LINE BY ABOUT 150-200 FEET!!! WTMFC IS THIS?!?!?! ALLYUH BELIEVE THIS F####RY???? IS THAT EVEN HUMANLY POSSIBLE????

They take one day to run 3000feet of fibre optic cable. and then one day to run about 5-600 feet of the other line AND install the digital taps and now it taking them 12 MONTHS(May2009- May2010) to run 150 feet of the same cable?

    22) So now i run back to TSTT with my #### between my leg, call up 62-BLINK but this time with the printout of the application i made on december 20th 2008, since that would have an ID# for the owner and i could use that if they ask for proof. Who else would answer the phone but the lovely WENDY. I re-explained my situation and when she check in the computer she said "SIR THERE IS NO APPLICATION FOR THAT PHONE NUMBER"
And once again she says that the she has to speak with the owner of the land line and that having the ID# was not enough.

    How fantastic!
So Flow/Tstt, when i return your equipment and it smells like dogsh*t and cyatp*ss, please dont wonder why.

    ^^^
well that is a hard luck dey.sometimes is a case of laziness while sometimes it is due to bad communications.no pun intended.

i called flow sometime in march to ask what serivce is available.and the lady said i could get digital cable. so i asked her the same question (ARE YOU SURE?) in about 5 different ways. she said i would not get internet/phone but yes i could get digital cable. still not satisfied and wanting it in writing, i emailed them only to received a reply saying that i could only get analog service.

since i have no available means of broadband, i decided to get cabletv.i signed up on tuesday7th and the lady confirmed it would be analog and they would come monday13th to install. however they called on friday 10th and say they in the area and they could come and install for me if anyone was home.so i agreed. wen they came they looked at the line and said there was no digital tap and they were specifically told that it was a digital installation so they only had a digital cable box.

i thought they were goin to make some excuse and ride out but one of the techs made a call and then told me they would do the install and then go for the analog box and come back.and they did. and the entire process took about 1.5 hrs from the time they first arrived.

so Aizen, if that "missing connection" could have been rectified by the person who came at 9:15, but he use it as an excuse to ride out, then is just laziness. but if he really couldnt fix it, then is the people who assign him to the task to be be blamed.

btw, funny/scary thing, when i went into the FLOW office in sanfernando they had a tv connected to a analog box.

Aizen i dont know how far from cedar hill you located but a friend of mine living close to the food basket supermarket was switched to digital about 10 days ago.

reyaz01 , i too was glad to see flow running lines by me in the first week of march, especially since they had issued the flyer that said princes town would be digital by march. to this day i still paying for using DIAL-UP which only loading about 10% of webpages. thanks, both TSTT and FLOW.

Nizzi, you should have sent a reply saying "LOL" . i think that is some kind of automated message. i nearly always get those first 2 sentences. and remember claxton bay was also on the schedule for march 2009, now they have all the areas that were listed as "coming in march" to "coming in 2009"

and they have marked the end of 2010, but of course there will be delays.
