    Hey
how far is the furthest distance from the access points can someone be and still get the 400-700kbs from 3G?
and the people from the south in the san fernando - princes town region, how far are you from the access point and what sort of speeds are you getting?

can't say for sure, I'm from Princes Town (about 2,5 km from city centre) and according to the map on tstt3g.co.tt we have spotty coverage at best. I can see a tstt tower from here, but I'm not sure if that is the actual source of the signal.

speeds are decent enough up to 1.5 mbits on a good day and -as said before- down to 10kbps if mr. kumar isn't around :)

It is certainly the best thing that could happen to you if you live too far from the dsl exchange, but we don't know what kinds of speeds you're getting once there's widespread adoption.

I hear you - seems more and more like a beta test to me :/
clearly there's something wrong with the system... or they are implementing
some throttling to cap heavy users.

    wdsl status update ...

for the last 7 days my speeds didn't exceed 300 kbps - and are (according to tstt's test tool) hovering around 44kbps (!) and 275 kbps.

    Signal strength is good though.

there seems to be a problem with the outbound traffic,
I couldn't access any us or european sites yesterday while tstt.co.tt was working
    fine.

Right now it's rather slow, I feel that freakstorm did some damage yesterday.
