Topics I've Started

  1. Flow limitations???

    Posted 17 Aug 2013

I recently, about two days ago decided to give Flow a try, and after being setup and activated on the 15MB package, I begun to test their download speeds using utorrent, as my worst fears were realized, the maximum speed I was observing was average 200kbs and peaking sometimes to 350kbs. I had read in previous topics that FLOWS throttles, and basically LIMITS/CAPS download speeds on Torrents.

Can any one who has flow for a period of time, kindly tell me if these download limits are true? and if so I would simply have to live with this limitation!!! or is there a way around this limit? I have port forwarded and setup the virtual server, but the speed simply remained at low speeds.

I have terminated their service and returned their modem, I know that only the PRICE factor when compared with BLINK makes this a viable option. I have faithfully returned to my BLINK 4MB speeds @ nearly over $320.00. I guess with these internet providers it really holds that you "can't have your cake and eat it too"!!
  2. Current Flow Speeds

    Posted 23 Jul 2012

Hello, everyone, I would kindly like to know the current status of FLOW 5MB package internet speed, I am a BLINK user from eversince and I am interested in switching to FLOW now because of the obvious deal $200.00. Is FLOW advertised speed really 5MB, I am located in the heart of San Fernando and do some ocassional torrent file sharing etc. Is FLOW as of 23rd July, 2012 really WORTH the SWITCH or SHOULD I STAY with blink on the 2MB package. IS FLOW right NOW FASTER (No buffering etc.) than BLINK 2MB????

Thanks for any relevant info on this matter
  3. Carib-Link Wireless? wrt having NO BLINK in Sando Proper!

    Posted 21 May 2008

    Hey,
Some time ago I inquired about not having any BLINK in sando proper as yet, I saw that there might be an alternative wrt Carib-link wireless broadband. Can anyone be kind enough to tell me who might have had Carib-Link wireless broadband and has actually being using it, tell me about its reliability, service, speed(if really weather affect transmission rate etc..). Nearly after 10 years of having TSTT internet (8 years HSIA) and not seeing any BLINK coming to Sando any time soon at least Sutton Street, I am begining to look and consider a good alternative like Cariblink or Green Dot? Is this a good decision? or should I give BLINK some more time to come to and be fully functional in San Fernando Proper? or just go with an alternative???

  5. EDGE

    Posted 30 Jul 2006

I have a motorola V186 that is EDGE enabled and I have been using tstt mobile internet for the last year, however I have read that EDGE has been activated, but my phone icon has not changed to the EDGE one, I reside in south Trinidad-San Fernando could it be my geographic location? or is it that tstt EDGE has been mainly in use in port of spain, or is there some special setting like a particular Access Point (besides Internet!)
