How would one connect the blink modem to a LAN thereby allowing others on the LAN to access the internet.
The blink modem does not have wireless built-in so how would I connect it to the LAN via Ethernet or WAN port? I am not familiar with configuring the modem but am familiar with networking. What am i not getting. Please direct me to documentation
thanks
This depends on how you have your network set up. Can you provide a bit more background on your network? -

I just got flow 2 days now and torrent download speeds are terrible.Signed up for the 25Mbps package.Kinda get the speed 'sometimes' for direct downloads but really slow speeds for torrents.
Flow does traffic shaping on torrents and other types of traffic. You may find your torrent work better during off peak as opposed to peak time. You will never get your full rate on torrent. Might see it with downloads like ftp etc, but it depends on their policies. Check out their fair usage policy in your contract and that should help clear it up for you. -

You can also check to see if the modem supports hiding the SSID. Some devices allow you to configure them to not send their SSID in the Beacon, so that people searching for a Wifi connection will not see that AP.

Do you have any systems connected to your phone line besides a handset and the modem? Anything such as an alarm system etc?

For the past 3 weeks I've been experiencing Internet disconnections which occur at about the same time everyday (around 6PM).
I have no idea why this is happening. I have called Blink's tech support numerous times about this and they cannot figure out the problem.
My phone line which is used for Internet has a clear dial tone, so I don't believe the land line is the problem. I have also attempted to connect the modem directly to my laptop, and the issue still persists. On a wireless router, my sister (whom I share Internet with) is also experiences the same problem.
Is anyone else having this issue (since about a few days before Carnival) or am I just unlucky? Any suggestions would be appreciated. -

Dude, The service uses ADSL2+ but may negotiate down to ADSL2 if it cannot synch with the exchange at ADSL2+. This would be like when you try to dialup and your modem connects at the speed it can support on the line at that time. Hope that helps ....
