Anyone else in the Malabar area experiencing an extreme drop in connection speeds for the past few day? My connection is basically like dial up now... 3 days and counting. This is ridiculous that it is going on so long.

You plug the dsl modem direct in the wall outlet. Dont pass it thru the filter. The filter is just for the phone.
the run the Cd, it will take you through the process.

After you get connected on the net you will have to change your password and also change the username and password on the modem itself. But change the password on tstt website first.

username= dslxxxxxxx (xxxxxxx = 7 digit phone number)
password = 12345. (dont forget the dot)

After you change the password on TSTT site, connect to your modem, try 192.168.1.1 in your browser and admin admin for username and password.

Go tot advance setup and change your username and password cause TSTT will install a default username and password that wont give you your correct speed.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks sufer-dude. I got the status light to come on and stay but I still cannot connect to the net.

Update: It seems that the Arima area is down, I was told that by a CSR. This is not a good first impression for me of blink service.

I got my modem today but I have two problems. First I got two single plug filters even though the CD says you should get a single and two plug filter. Anyway, I still used the single plug filter and continued the installation process. Only to realise at the end that my service light was not on. Since this is my first DSL experience with TSTT I thought that since I don't have the 'correct' filter. So I called Tstt. After being on hold for 35 minutes... I finally spoke to a CSR that said that everything was normal and there was is need to get a two plug filter. I also asked about not getting service. He then said that I have to wait a few days for service to become active. Since I'm new to this, can anyone guide me.

Last time I tried it (5 minutes ago), voicemail was still free. I think he was talking about the WEB service.

Couldn't this just mean that the Flow personnel just put the username and password in on the modem software (the way we manually do it with the TSTT modems) before they give it to the customers?

How much do they charge if you use more than the 50 hours?
