I just got a message saying DSL is down most parts of Trinidad.

I also understand that RVR international is sppposed to launch this year in trinidad and they are supposed to be better than Direct TV. Is a system where you just point your control at your satellite Box and select a Movie from a database with a Million Moves. Does anyone have information on this service.

Also ent Direct TV was going to launch Satellite Internet through their service as well what ever happned to that service.
Boy seems like everything in trinidad is on hold up and dying.

Well yuh could bet yuh bottom dollar if Laqtel do launches (A long shot if you ask me) There will be some **** like an Oligopolly. And the service and won't be any different from TSTT. Because what you expect if the Owner of Laqtel is a part shareholder and Top Manager of TSTT. It's like TSTT competiting against TSTT.

So if Laqtel do launches by some miracle it would be totally in favour of TSTT. Like a wolf in sheeps clothing. Don't get your hopes up Laqtel is TSTT this was confirmed by a TSTT manager.

Man does that Suck. Trinidad again, I wish I was in America. I fed up of this 3rd world. Where is the so called Vision 2020 that manning bosts. If there were any truth in that the TATT would of given about 10 concessions for Mobile phone and internet instead of 2. and one of the two was a Gimmik by the way.

Yeah I really wished it wasen't true, but this is what i heard from a TSTT manager I know. Who is in my class.

Man when I had put the Pieces of the puzzle together boy did I feel like an Ass.
I was really counting on Laqtel for Internet. Now it just seems like they will delay it until 2008 so TSTT could rape Millions from people. And then maby after 10 years or so we might get another bid. Hopefully the government won't interfear by then.

So we would get mobile internet maby by the year 2020. hmm that slogan sounds familiar ;) ;) ;)

Well great News people, I called Flow Today and they said they have already run the Fiber Optics Lines in most areas, But the Lines aren't connected as yet they need to change the old Boxes and Update the Network.

But from what I heard this great news I can see a seperate new line on the Pole outside my house so thats what they must be talking about. o

Now people the good thing about Flow as we already know is that they use Fiber Optics lines, unlke TSTT who use Worthless Copper, Copper DSL has a range limitation, hence you need a Exchange within every couple miles or so in order to get a connection. Else the further u are from a exchange the worst your Connection adn bandwidth. And knowing TSTT we talking about a million miles from the nearest exchange.

However fiber optics solves this problem it doesn't matter how far you are even in the Bush behind God back like Barrakpore and the Deep South and anywhere you think of even where Mario lives way behind the mountains in the Spring. You still get like near maximum bandwidth. Thank you FLOW and the person who invented Fiber Optics.

NB. It should be Noted not any fiber optic is great, there is an old type of fiber optic called Multimode Fiber optic Cble and a new one called Monomode Fiber Optic Cable.

The Multimode Fiber optic cable uses multiple paths technology and is the worst type and should not be used but is still better than copper however. Problem is light waves are bounced up and down from top to buttom in a diagonal fashion in order to transmit data

The Monomode Fiber optic cable uses Single Path Technology and is the latest and truly Next Gen first world quality, This process the Light waves are sent in one straight line and therefore no bouncing occurs and hence Data is transferred at lightining speeds. No Bottle Necking. Its like having a Geforce 8800 GTX or something. Versus a worthless Geforce 1. Flow is like the geforce 8800 GTX and TSTT is like worst than a Ge force 1 like a SIS integrated 1985 chipset that can only out put MS DOS.
And thankfully this is the cable Flow is using Monomode Fiber the best there is. I must thank Flow publicially for analysing us the Trinidadians and understanding the need to treat us with respect unlike TSTT who discriminates against Trinidadianas and Spit on us. Flow Network is truly State of the Art.
THANK YOU FLOW I HAVE NEVER FELT SO SATISFIED ITS LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE. We really are going forward with flow.
