I called Blink yesterday.
When I selected the option to speak with an agent there was this pre-recorded message saying that "TSTT Wireless Broadband" service isn't available as yet.
Anybody know what's up with that?

I know that they're doing some work on the EV-DO platform which should bear fruit soon.

so it should speed it up then? i heard horror stories of people getting dial up speeds and ting...but d price hadda come down too!! in fact they should waive one a dem fees...imagine paying $2175 just to start, and that doh even include vat.. and they now limiting the amount of data to 2GB/mth after which u pay $100/250 MB so doh even think about dl torrents or very large files.. (the contract says they will ban u if u use more than 10 GB 4 the mth) I feel now that there once soon-to-be competitor for CDMA services Laqtel is no more they in a monopoly situation for wireless broadband so they taking advantage of people... maybe we should petition TATT to find a new CDMA provider

another thing.. the corporate prices actually cheaper than residential.. unlike blink and all other services (and other ISPs) for that matter where business packages are more expensive

from http://www.tstt3g.co...l/register.html:

Quote

A sign up fee of $600 applies to each price plan.

A terminal device fee of $1,575 applies to each price plan.

Additional usage in each month beyond the number of free Mega Bytes included in the monthly rental are charged per 250 Mega Byte or part thereof.

All prices are VAT exclusive

That is really sad, TSTT just reach an all time low with this one 2 gigs a month and $100 for 250mb, who is this really tailored for except for a corporate client

I guess this is probably what they were referring to in the pre-recorded message.
Prices totally suck and from what I experienced with them before the service is real crap. Not worth it at all. You will have better luck taking Digicel EDGE.
