try with other phone types lol its basically the same thing.. i used Motorola v550 when setting up for my Sony Ericsson.
the settings i have are

WAP:
Apn name and or connection name: "buzz"
Proxy address: 192.168.210.104
Port: 8080
No username or password.
keep in mind all you can visit on prepaid is the Homepage : http://192.168.210.103/operator/wap (there may be variations to this but it leads to basically the same thing  )

MMS
Apn/connection name "mms"
Proxy address: 192.168.210.104
Port: 8080
Message server: http://192.168.210.104/mmrelay.app (i think)

If ur lg had bluetooth or a data card, u cud've installed Opera Mini. If u only hav a wap browser set a google.com IP as ur proxy server. How to do it is somewhere on d forum. Cheers.
