Anybody with some hints on setting up the 8220 as a modem for a PowerBook using GPRS and/or Edge?
Had a Sony-Ericson T68i with Bluetooth setup that way many years ago and it was working fine.
I get the BB to Bluetooth pair with the PowerBook, got a modem script from the net, but need the parameters, number etc. to complete the settings.

Would like again using the cell to have mobile Internet access on my PowerBook.

Thanks Anita,

I did all that already, but I think there is some form of bmobile localisation required in regard to 'Telephone Number. Account Name, Password etc'. With the T68i it was something like '*99**1#', APN: Internet etc...

No user name or password. The phone number is *99# and you need to add +cgdcont=1,"ip","blackberry.net" under standard modem properties.

This is what I did to get it working on Windows 7.

1. Installed Blackberry Desktop Software 4.7
2. Connect Blackberry via USB
3. Configured Initialization string of Standard Modem (BlackBerry Desktop Software creates the Standard Modem). Init string is required:

+cgdcont=1,"IP","web.digiceltt.com"

You need to find the Standard Modem under Phone & Modem - Select Properties and then select Change Settings. Otherwise the Init String field is not exposed!

4. Created a dial up connection using Standard Modem
5. Phone number is *99#
6. No user name or password required.

Works Great, a little slow of course!

What do I use for the IP if I am using TSTT?
