TSTT just launched their GSM based security solution "Vigilance" tsttsecurity.tstt.co.tt or www.tsttvigilance.com

It is basically a rented home alarm system with a direct GSM based link to the TSTT security centre.

We just had a demonstration from TSTT for our neighbourhood here.

They offer several packages starting from $199 up to $499. You can then add more alarm devices including Smoke Detector, Medical alert Pendant, Keyfob (like a car alarm), Flood Detector, Motion Detector and more Door/Window contacts at additional rental fees.

In case of an alarm, TSTT calls either the Police, Fire Department plus other people from your list of contact persons.
alerts are also going to your cell phone as text message.

My current alarm system makes a lot of noise, but I do not think that anybody is listening or would even be disturbed as car and other alarms are part of the daily noise cloud.

I am considering the system as soon as TSTT hooks up with a reliable security company, which would actually send a 'emergency response' team once the alarm is identified as a valid alarm ... offered at a affordable price.

Next step, TSTT should bundle it like they did with their IPTV.

This is a very good service, I would subscribe for it, is it available in South Trinidad?

Until TSTT has a security response solution, an emergency response team/company that the customer has an arrangement with can be contacted.

Correct me if I am wrong, but since it is GSM based, it should be available wherever your bmobile cell works.

The service is available in all areas where TSTT GSM coverage exists.

Also if mobile coverage is poor it can be connected with an existing land line
