Blink on the go is no go

I have had blink on the go from TSTT for about 9 months now. It started out being quite fast, download speed averaged about 600kbs and uploads were about 275-300kbs. It has now gotten almost as slow as dialup and about every hour it will drop the connection and I have to reconnect. I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem? My signal strength is good 5 to 6 bars on the software meter. Could anyone say if Wimax will be any better.
Thanks........

I upgraded to TSTT WIMAX about a week ago. I took the 1Mb package. The downloads are a lot faster than Blink on the go, uploads however are very slow. On a typical day my uploads are between 20 to 45Kb and downloads are 900 to 1100Kb latency is 140ms. I am located on the fringe of the service area in Point Fortin. The signal indicator is on orange most of the time. Sometimes it goes to red. When it raind I loose the signal.I suppose if I had an external modem the signal would be better. The same company(Green Packet) that makes the internal modem also makes an external modem to install on the roof. TSTT should look into that for customers out in the fringes.

I also signed up for WiMax (blackbox) post paid the signal is great with green indicator however, over the past couple of days I have very low bandwidth during the later part of the day.
This should not be cause the light is green.

I have been having the same problem with my Wimax service in Point Fortin for the past 2 months. If I take the same modem to Couva or San Fernando I get very good speed. I can't figure it out, neither can the people at TSTT.

over-saturation of subscribers in the area is possible to blame for the weak signal.
It has gotten worse over the past 3 months (from July to now). It is now just as slow as dial-up. I gues TSTT don't care about their customers in Point Fortin. They know they are the only game in town (Flow has yet to digitise the area)so they are taking advantage of people. I hope the new company that the PM says would be coming soon will have pity on us and give us value for our money.
