It could be a problem with the carrier's enabling international SMS centre...

Consider that the SMS has to pass through more than one SMS centre if it's an international SMS and that there may be some delay in transmission.

Hi...I am finding these problems interesting as I am having similar problems in the UK.

My friend in Trinidad is on Bmobile (I am assuming this is basically TSTT?)

I am on Orange in the UK

We have been texting for some time with reasonable success :) , i few text lost to the ether both ways from time to time <_< .

I did have major problems with Vodafone a few months ago and gave up on them and switched to Orange (not sure if prob was with Vodafone or Bmobile)

However, of late about 50% of text both ways seem to be going astray and this is now proving a nuisance

I know my friend has this week upgraded to a new mobile (cell) ...motorola v3i and it seems since then things have fallen down

Has anyone any thoughts on this or having similar problems with UK networks?

BTW..As far as I understand it both myself and my friend in Trinidad only pay to send text not to receive :)

Maybe one of the network is trying to minimize cogestion, cause I remeber when it had internet txting to bmobile an it created alot of congestion and I thinke they blamed a network crash on that thats why they take out the internet sms gateway,I cant even receive my weekly sms newsletter from msn which I used to get before they locked it.

actually, when we had the online gateway, it didnt congest the mobile to mobile sms, even though the online gateway did get congested...
it was locked of because people would use it for free to text instead of using thier phone and paying, and the massive threat that was sent to all the people, something bout yuh daugheter was the final straw that broke the camels back
