No more dial up for me I'm in NY now 5MB/s baby. :P

And actually today I was downloading and got up to 10MB, it seems the less congested the network is the more bandwidth u get, seeing as it's cable which is shared.

you lucky dude,we can only dream of speeds like that here, atleast for the ordinary person. I'm sure there are connections such as that within TSTT. Who knows,we might close to that when TSTT rolls out it's cable network.

For about 3 or 4 months now, I've noticed that download speeds on dial up have dropped to around 2 - 3 kb/sec.
It used to be around 4 - 5 kb/sec, now it's just ridiculous.
Imagine they've literally cut dial speeds by almost half.

You may need to deactivate the Call Waiting facility during your call so that the incoming call doesn't disconnect you.

You may also have to clear the voice messages in your voicemail box before you go online.

To deactivate the Call Waiting for the duration of the call:

Dial *70 (on a touch tone phone) or 1170 (on a rotary phone)

I was incorrect.
It's actually a 15MB cable connection.
15MB is the minimum u can get with optimum cable and if you want u can boost it up to 30MB for like $10 more, but 15MB is more than adequate.
