they need to activate this as soon as possible cuz it would benefit me alot. Even though right now I need my PUK code to get the sim activated again. Hopefully Digicel will activate their pre-paid roaming before or around the same time as bmobile.

I saw this online at http://tstt.co.tt

http://tstt.co.tt/ab...icle.cfm?id=266

From what's wriiten in the article the assumption can be made that pre-paid roaming is already available.

When I just got up here I was able to lock onto the Cingular network on and off with my bmobile prepaid, it wasn't consistent. There is no Digicel up here what so ever, but while I was at the airport I called and they told me it should be available by November.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

HEY GUYS

I saw an ad in todays papers advertising Pre-Paid roaming in the caribbean
on the Bmobile network, where it says in comming calls are free while roaming
on the Network YEA!!!! to that ......so I called to find out what is the rate you pay
when you make a call while roaming and I was informed by the CSR a rate
of US$1.60 per min will be Charged! BOO!!! THATS LIKE TT$10.00 a min

To date Digicel is charging a Pre Paid roaming rate of US$0.55 a min for incomming and out going calls.

So if you have both use the bmobile to recieve incommings calls free and the
digicel to make calls at US$0.55

If you have a dual sim it saves you from having to walk around with two phones

Thanks for finding the rates out.
I haven't had the energy to call.
My sister uses her Digicel prepaid to roam for emergencies.
I wonder if she'd want a bMobile SIM to receive calls...

I didn't have any money on the phone to try to make a call but the phone lost signal a few mins after so I turned it off.
When I turned it back on again I forgot my sim pin so I entered the wrong pin three times and now the sim is blocked until i get the PUK code so even if they do introduce prepaid roaming my sim is blocked until I get the PUK code from my mom and I have to have some serious patience to guide her to where the box is. So in the mean time I'll live with this crappy T-Mobile pre-paid or I'll move over to EasyLink and their prepaid service with the choice of either unlimited night and weekends or free incoming calls.

look around before you get a new phone...i know in miami, where i was, there is a company called metro pcs, and you pay 40 bucks for unlimited calling to anywhere in the state at any time, and out of state calls and international calls are pre paid, my aunt has been with them for a few years and i never heard her complain... metro is only in south florida, but im sure there is something else like that in new york
