Not a Mac user but

http://login.flowtrinidad.com

create your mail account here ("email" on panel on the left)
Write down the assigned password.

POP3/SMTP

mail.flowtrinidad.com

Your user name is your full flow address that you create above. Note the .net rather than .com
like
anita@flowtrinidad.net
password was assigned by the email configurator

Thanks for that info. Why doesn't flow include that information in their package that they give you though? They didn't tell us anything when we got the intetnet installed, and since everyone already had web-based email addresses (gmail, yahoo etc), I just didn't bother about the flow email addresses :P .

Thank you very much, guy_smiley.

That was very helpful, now that I can access my email. Still one problem though. I can get email from my Flow account now. Only problem is, I get error mesage when I send email to anyone outside of Flow.

Is there a separate outgoing email server that I have to enter?

Thanks for all the help and have a nice weekend.

Anita.

Same server name but using SMTP (port 25)

mail.flowtrinidad.com

It does require authentication (username and password for SMTP - same as your POP3) and uses a secure connection (TLS)

They just assume you have a hotmail account I think.
I had to call Flow tech support for this.

I had the exact same experience with TSTT EVDO.. but worse.. CSRs had no idea what to do. Suggested I use hotmail. I had to go into a branch (Textel Building) to have the POP3 account created and they had to call someplace else.
Like people don't use normal email again?

Thanks, again guy_smiley. I entered mail.flowtrinidad.com on both fields as you wrote. No luck yet sending mails outside of Flow, yet. Atleast, I get mails addressed to my Flow A/c.

Best - Anita.

Error message that says - "553 sorry that domain isn't in my list ofrcpt hosts (#5.5.3 - chkuser)"

This message appears on any outsent mail before rejecting it. Other mails goto ANY inside flow mail a/c.

Thanks for sticking to help me.

I think this is an authentication problem. You normally get this with SMTP if say you connect with TSTT and try to send mail via Flow.

Did you configure the Eudora to use SMTP AUTH ? i.e. the SMTP must use your POP3 username and password - e.g. anita@flowtrinidad.net (.net not .com) and xxk56Gh. Don't let Eudora use the normal SMTP settings (no username or password required)

Thanks Guy_Smiley. I tried that & even completely wiped off TSTT settings, leaving only Flow settings. Not worked for sending mail outside of Flow. I can get mail from Flow a/c though. Mystery still.

Thanks again. Anita.

Have you tried to call flow or sent them a mail to getflow@columbustrinidad.com asking about their incoming/outgoing mail settings?

Yes, infact several times, I called them too. They say it 's the same for both - mail.flowtrinidad.com (exactly what I put-in). I can get mail & only when sending from my Flowa/c outside ANYWHERE ELSE, it comes out with that error mesage.
