how is this possible on dialup? (i tested it twice to be sure & on a different server, 1st time i got 144 kbps upload)

the downoad speed looks normal, but the upload speed makes me feel as if I have DSL, even in the connection status I see the bytes sent at a rate of about 15-20 KB/s (although I never experience this for my upload speed for instance if im uploading an attachment to my gmail account or running torrents)

could compression have anything to do with it? and if so, why doesn't it do the same for my download? download is FAR more important than upload!
