If ur lg had bluetooth or a data card, u cud've installed Opera Mini. If u only hav a wap browser set a google.com IP as ur proxy server. How to do it is somewhere on d forum. Cheers.
  3. In Topic: Problem with cable box

    Posted 9 Jan 2008

I read somewhere only the cable company itself can unblock their cable boxes. U need to get a universal cable converter box & modify it (unless u get one already modified). See http://www.cablejoke... escramblers.htm. Don't know if this works & I haven't seen anything for digital. U can get some local channels w/o the box, sometimes more. Then again, there's JumpTV etc. on d Net.

You have to pay to subscribe to JumpTV. I just thought there was an alternative besides getting my own slingbox.
  5. In Topic: bmobile data only SIM

    Posted 17 Oct 2007

BTW I got it sold. The service is reliable, OK speed with d mobile browser, not when used as a modem. I find it faster at night. Used to get dialup speed when linked to PC 2 yrs ago, then it got bad. Haven't tried lately. Sometimes one browser server giving trouble, I might get thru with the next one (Opera Mini, Netfront). bmobile is GPRS (48kbps max) not EDGE.
I can email using POP3 settings on d phone or via a browser.
