sorry to post that here, but I felt like writing about it.

I had an attempted break in, possibly kidnapping attempt at my place yesterday. (way down south in the bush)
ppl just waited on the backporch of our house till the place got quiet
(my wife was sleeping and I was fighting with the directv guide mess) - then there was a massive bang as if someone would hit the door with a sledgehammer and one of the panels flew out of the door and a man grab through the hole to
force open that door, on which we had installed a towerbolt just a couple weeks earlier.
my wife flew up the bed terrified and screaming and I managed to grab a machete and was trying to chop the fella - at the same time he had already stuck a gun through the hole and started shooting at us.

somehow we just managed it to get out of that room and on the street and were kinda lucky to reach the next neighbor.

I really witnessed a miracle yesterday and I'm saying that as an atheist

I don't know what to do now and all this quarreling with tstt really seems like a joke.
ppl getting killed, robbed, kidnapped and raped right next door (not just laventille) and I don't see any attempt by the ppl in power to tackle this scourge.
good ppl are moving to canada, england and the states because of this (well I will most likely be back in germany in a couple weeks - hopefully away from that kind of crime and as an added bonus away from tstt)

sorry to go ot - but I couldn't help it.
I was one of the ppl who was watching the news and see those deathcounts going up every day - merely noticing it as a thing that has become a normality - my wife and I could've been in that statistic too

just want to see what you guys think -
I'll be the first to throw out my TSTT sim once Digicel comes in

a couple days ago I heard on the news that TSTT intends to enter the cable TV market.
it sounded a bit odd though and I couldn`t find any press releases on the tstt page regarding that topic.

.. correction, just googled for it
